Having grown up on the East Coast, Maine was never on my must do destination list. I’m not completely sure why but it felt far and didn’t have the appeal of Boston or New York City. Since living in New York City again, I have been on the lookout for great weekend destinations aside from the Hamptons and the beaches in New Jersey. A friend had an opportunity to go to Maine for work and we jumped at the chance to extend the trip and make it a girls weekend. I truly was blown away by the charm of the places we visited and can’t wait to go again!
