It's Spring in Australia

It is no secret that travelers like to venture to Australia over winter vacation so that they can take advantage of summer on the other side of the world. If you want to still experience Australia, but don’t want to pay inflated prices, going during their spring in October and November will leave you with extra spending money to really enjoy it!

A few years ago I went on a 2 week Australia trip during October and was a little bummed when I thought that I wouldn’t be able to experience the beaches during their prime. However, spring is the perfect time to be able to see all the major sites, eat great food and not have to wait in massive lines. This was evident especially for the Bridge Climb. During peak season, the groups fill up quickly and climbs during the day are tough because of the heat. During our mid October trip there was just one other person with us during our time slot which made it really fun!

So what is the weather actually like in Sydney this time of year? It can range from 60 - 70 °F during the day and 50 - 60 °F at night. We still got to enjoy the beach, swim in the Great Barrier Reef and enjoy really nice days but a light jacket is an absolute must for night! Our favorite place of the trip was a little island called Kangaroo Island that I would recommend to anyone going to Australia at any time. The little island off of Adelaide is absolutely charming and of course inhabited by plenty of Kangaroo.

Side note: The food pictures are from Mr. Wong - if you are in Sydney this amazing meal is worth the wait
