After Over a Year of Living in a COVID-19 World, What is Next for Travel?

If you had told me that 2020 would be a year of lockdowns and closed boarders, I honestly would not have believed you. Like many of you, I’m wondering what the travel landscape will look like over the next few years. It is safe to say that COVID-19 changed the way we travel forever however I don’t necessarily think it is all bad. Our transportation systems and airplanes are cleaner than ever and as someone who used to take the subway daily, this has given me peace of mind as cities have been opening back up.

As we start to look towards the future, it is key to read through the cancelation policies and really understand all of your options in case it is no longer safe to travel or your country gets removed from the approved visitors list. Now more than ever, travel insurance is essential and I would recommend anyone planning any trips, especially those outside the United States, to invest in travel insurance.

As for me? I have been enjoying safely exploring places within the US and I am just now thinking about booking international travel for later this year (fingers crossed). Ive used the past year  to plan and research where I want to go next and am looking forward to exploring more than we all did in 2020 and helping you all do so!

P.S. As an avid photographer, I took advantage of the once in a lifetime opportunity to capture New York City (my home at the time) during the pandemic. Please note that these were all taken from March-May 2020.
